Know is a seven-track dark punk record by Ian Bloom: electric, sexual, biblical, disgusted, and exposed. Where Swagger establishes public force and Golf hardens that force into instrumental body music, Know turns the Bloom figure inward and downward. It is not a charm record. It is a consequence record.
The album is built from sin, appetite, beauty, disgust, body, and judgment. Its language is repetitive because the record is not trying to explain desire from a safe distance. It is trying to stage desire as captivity. The songs do not behave like confessions. They behave like compulsions.
Know uses blunt phrases, repeated hooks, body words, religious residue, and damaged romantic pressure. The record's force comes from that compression: a man trying to feel something real and finding, instead, appetite, trap, false love, and selfhood folded back into cells.
If Swagger is the public entrance and Golf is the machine, Know is the black room.
